NEW VISIT RULES IN GALAPAGOS

Keeping the destination safe through control mechanisms that allow offering guarantees in terms of health, safety, sustainability and protection, is one of the main priorities for the Government Council of Galapagos, the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador and the Ministry of Tourism.

To achieve the objective of maintaining the Galapagos Islands as a safe destination, two new procedures have been added to the regular entry procedures:

  • 1 Negative RT-PCR test issued up to 96 hours previously *
  • Safe conduct issued by the Ministry of Tourism **
  • Control Transit Card USD 20, which is acquired at the counter of the Government Council of Galapagos, located next to the airline check-in at the airports of Quito and Guayaquil.

Entrance to the Galapagos National Park USD 6 Ecuadorians and residents, USD 50 Andean community and Mercosur, USD 100 other countries.

* If you arrive from abroad with your negative RT-PCR test issued up to 72 hours or less and the next day you take the flight to Galapagos, your proof of origin will be valid. If your test expires once you have arrived in the country, a new test must be carried out in one of the laboratories authorized by the Ministry of Public Health http://www.calidadsalud.gob.ec/laboratorios-autorizados/

** The safe conduct is managed by the agent-operator or by the hotel, you must inform us that you are coming with an organized tour or only with the stay at the hotel to be able to carry out the broadcast, it takes at least 24 hours to issue it.
